Fastrack NCS is an audio –visual call system with a unique three colour lamp feature, highly modular configured to meet the need of all types of hospitals. They are economical, safe and easy to operate at any size of hospital and nursing homes. They can be operated on PC with minimum configuration.

SPECIFICATIONS

There are three buttons on it.

  • Power Button : Pressing this for long time (approximately 3 sec) turns the device ON or OFF
  • Mute Button: It is for acknowledging a call from patient. It will make the flashing window steady and also silences the voice module until a call is cleared.
  • Test Button: On pressing the button it will flash all the windows and will announce "Attention, Patient calling" to make sure that the device is working fine.

Module & station

NCS SYSTEM MODULE

The System Configuration comprises a Nurse Station LCD (NS_LCD) at the nurse - station countertop. This Display console is connected through cable to every patient bed assigned to the nurse station.

NURSE STATION LCD (NS-LCD)

The central console with the necessary displays and buttons is housed in a dust and water protected cabinet with an Acrylic PVC panel. It has the following features.

NUMEROUS OTHER FEATURES

  • Nurse Help Request (NHR), which can be requested by the attending nurse from the patient's bedside.
  • Code - Blue Alert (CBA), which is a Hospital emergency alarm which, when triggered from any bed-side, is indicated on all the nurse-station, throughout the hospital.
  • Nurse Call Response Monitoring System (NCRM), which can be delivered either through a dedicated PC terminal or through the central server for the Hospitals' Information Management System.
  • SMS Transmission Facility (SMS) which can transmit SMS under critical conditions to respective authorities.
  • Smart Room Unit (USRU), it has inbuilt programmable timer for monitoring patient alertness, allows for setting 40 alarms to trigger automatic nurse call for applications like reminders for medicine, vaccination, treatment etc.
  • Call forwarding during lean hours when limited staff is available.
  • Call Escalation if pending for more than preconfigured duration.
  • Duplication of information in corridor from multiple Nurse Station Display.
  • All Nurse Station can be networked through Supervisory Controller to handle call forwarding. Call escalation through common large size LED Display.

TOKEN MANAGEMENT

Any successful establishment in the pursuit of providing services (S) will experience people gathered and waiting to be served. In such cases, it becomes essential to have some means of forming queues in an orderly fashion to ensure that people are served on first-come first-serve basis. It is definitely not desirable to form physical queues. Instead, everybody can be assigned a number (token) indicating their turn and allow them to estimate and manage the waiting time in their own way, without having to stand in a line.

The Token Management System is designed to address the above-mentioned requirement. This system helps in issuing a token, segregating the tokens for different services, routing them to proper service provider and enables the service provider to announce a token number chosen from a particular queue, both visually and aurally.

THE SYSTEM COMPRISES OF THE FOLLOWING MODULES: TOKEN HUB

This is the main module of the entire system which receives request from all the Token Dispensing Units and maintains one queue for every service. Similarly, it can maintain up to maximum of 8 service queues. It can get connected to a maximum of 15 dispensing units and accepts service requests from all of them. It can also get connected to a maximum of 15 Token Calling units and 15 Display units. On any of the Token Calling Unit requesting for a token to be called, the hub will determine from which queue it has to pick-up the token and put that token on the Token Display Unit and announce the token number in two different languages.
